Regular Council Meeting

THAT the minutes of the Adelaide Metcalfe Council held on January 11th, 2023 be adopted as printed.

THAT the minutes of the Adelaide Metcalfe Council held on January 16th, 2023 be adopted as printed.

THAT Council receive and file Council Correspondence Items CC-1 to CC-7.

THAT Council accept the reconstruction request for the Patterson Morgan Municipal Drain, submitted by the property owner located at Concession 5, Part Lot 8 (geographic Township of Adelaide) under Section 78 of the Drainage Act FURTHER THAT Council direct staff procure a Drainage Engineer in accordance with the Township’s Procurement Policy.

THAT the Fourth Quarter and Year End 2022 Building Activity Summary be received for information.

THAT Council enact an appointment By-Law for Mark Brown, County of Middlesex Weed Inspector for the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe as the Municipal Weed Inspector for the Council term.

THAT 2023 Budget be APPROVED. FURTHER THAT the enacting 2023 Budget By-Law and 2023 Tax Rate By-Law be APPROVED.

THAT Council adjourn to closed session at 7:20 pm pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, to discuss the following matter(s); (e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (Servicing Agreement between Adelaide Metcalfe and Strathroy-Caradoc) (c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board (Property Disposition - Unopened Road Allowance)

THAT By-Law 9 of 2023 (appoint weed inspector), By-Law 10 of 2023 (Adopt 2023 Budget), By-Law 11 of 2023 (2023 Tax Rate), and By-Law 12 of 2023 (confirming February 6, 2023) receive first, second, third and final reading.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 8:46 PM.
