Regular Council Meeting

THAT the Agenda for the November 18th, 2024 Meeting of Council be approved.

2 THAT the minutes of the Adelaide Metcalfe Council held on November 4, 2024 be adopted as printed.

THAT Council convene as the Committee of Adjustment at 7:01 pm.

THAT Application for Minor Variance A05-2024 that requests relief from Section 5.17 of the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe Comprehensive Zoning By-Law to permit an MDS II setback of 1370.71 feet (417.8 metres) be GRANTED.

THAT Council adjourn Committee of Adjustment at 7:21 pm and reconvene into regular session of Council.

THAT Items 8.a through 8.f listed under the heading of Consent Agenda for November 18, 2024 be adopted as recommended. 6

THAT Council receive and file Correspondence item 9.a

THAT the staff wage grid, Council remuneration, and the volunteer firefighter compensation program be adjusted by a cost-of-living increase of two percent (2%) for 2025 and receive pre-budget approval.

THAT the request from Kerwood Adelaide Metcalfe Optimist Club be approved and granted pre-budget approval in the amount of $4,750 in accordance with the council grants policy; and FURTHER THAT the request from Kerwood Adelaide Metcalfe Optimist Club be approved for in-kind contributions; and FURTHER THAT that staff be directed to prepare correspondence and issue payment to the above-noted organization in January 2025.

THAT Council receive the report Corporate Policy Manual Update – Holiday Closure Policy for information 8 AND FURTHER THAT the CAO be directed to implement the Holiday Closure Policy immediately and incorporate it into the Corporate Policy Manual.

THAT Council adjourn to closed session at 8:01 pm pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, to discuss the following matter(s); (b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Employee Retirement) (e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (Appeal of Committee of Adjustment Decision) (e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (Servicing Agreement between Adelaide Metcalfe and Strathroy-Caradoc - Grogast Court)

THAT By-Law 61 of 2024 (Confirming November 18th, 2024) receive first, second and third and final reading.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 8:39 PM.
